Our leadership group is committed to the success of our customers. They have deep experience in construction and they are firmly committed to excellence in our software products and superlative service for our customers.

Carmen Greene – President

Carmen holds a Canadian CPA, CGA designation; an Applied BBA in Accounting & IT from SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology) and a Management Certificate in Professional Accounting, with Honours, from BCIT (BC Institute of Technology).

Prior to joining Explorer in 2016, Carmen was Construction Controller for one of Western Canada’s largest private developers. She previously held Controller positions at two Lower Mainland heavy-construction firms where she was also a customer of Explorer’s. She has over 13 years’ senior experience in the construction industry. Prior to this, she gained valuable financial experience working in higher education, not-for-profit, manufacturing, and public practice sectors.

As VP, Finance & Administration, she was responsible for the Explorer Finance and HR teams as well as working with the Executive team to improve operational efficiencies, performance and reporting. She was also a key member of the team implementing several North America acquisitions since 2017.

Carmen was appointed President of Explorer Software in August, 2019, where she will continue to focus on the ongoing success of Explorer Software.

Steve Maughan – VP, Operations

With over 30 years of experience in leadership and technology, Steve has brought a level of technological expertise that has helped keep Explorer at the forefront of IT best practices. Today, Steve serves as the VP of Operations and the Director of IT for Explorer. He is responsible for North American and South American Support and IT Operations. Steve holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Technical Management.

Sally Felgnar – Director, Implementations

Sally achieved her CGA (Certified General Accountant) designation in 1987. Early work experience included positions from Project Accountant to Controller for 7-Eleven (Corporate, Canada), First City Developments and Cross Developments. She joined The Conac Group in 1997, where she gained extensive experience in product development, systems design, testing, implementation, training and documentation. In 2003, Sally joined a local distributor of Timberline software, where she was involved in client consultation, implementation and custom report writing.

Sally came to Explorer Software Group in September 2004 as a Systems Support Specialist. She provided pre-sales support, including RFP analysis and response, product demonstrations of Explorer Contract Manager and Pivot, and helped to develop a sales and demonstration database. She has since been involved with direct customer support, Quality Assurance, testing and documentation, and served several years as Operations Controller.

Today, Sally is the Director of Professional Services, providing direction and support to Explorer’s training and implementation teams. Sally is an important member of the Explorer management team.

Rosie Ball – Director, DevOps

Rosie graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and Fine Arts. With over thirty years in the construction industry in various roles from project management to accounting she has been able to provide insight and guidance for the design and development of Eclipse and other software. Before joining Explorer, she worked in support, implementation, and was a Business Analyst for our sister company, Computer Guidance. Rosie is the Director of DevOps and her 19 years in ERP construction specific software have been invaluable to the Explorer Software team since 2010.

Persis Ahrestani – Director, Finance

Persis was designated a Certified General Accountant in 2008 and graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology and a Diploma in Accounting. During her college years she acquired numerous awards including the University of British Columbia Science Scholar award, Governor General’s Academic Medal, and Youth Recognition Award for District of North Vancouver.

Prior to joining Explorer, she worked for several boutique Chartered Account firms. Persis has a passion for teaching and is involved in academia at both the University of British Columbia and the CGA Association of BC. She joined the Explorer team in September 2012 and now serves as the Director of Finance for North America.

Jeremy Baker – Director, Customer Service

Jeremy graduated with a Master of Science in Information Technology Management. Before joining Explorer Software, he had worked in various Information Technology and customer service roles for Pinal County in Arizona, Eurofresh Farms, and University of Phoenix. He joined the Explorer Software team in 2016, working in IT and managing Shafers Customer Support. As the Director, Customer Service, Jeremy is responsible for customer and program support of Eclipse, Shafers, Contract Manager, Pivot, Trueline, TCMS, Versys, EZDocs, and Information Technology services.

Ryan Liss – Director, Marketing

Ryan earned his Bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and has been with Explorer Software since 2014. Prior to working for Explorer, he worked as a cinematographer for Ballistic Entertainment and in operations for Wells Fargo. Today, he oversees Explorer Software’s marketing efforts, including company communications, public relations, and events. He works closely with the sales team on lead generation and business development.
