Nelson, New Zealand – JDM Technology Group, a global group of leading software providers for the architecture, engineering and construction  industries, announced today that it has acquired Nelson, New Zealand based Nimbus Software Limited.

Founded in 1978, Nimbus Software offers business management software to customers involved in quoting and contracting with a focus on electrical, plumbing, and civil contractors.

JDM Technology Group’s acquisition of Nimbus further secures the company’s global leadership position and strengthens its market share in New Zealand.

Having acquired numerous companies since 2004, the JDM Technology Group has established a proven strategy for integrating acquired companies into its existing infrastructure. Nimbus will continue to operate as a separate company with its existing staff out of its Nelson, New Zealand headquarters. Kaye Farrer will continue to lead the business.

“For the past four decades, Nimbus has been committed to serving our customers with some of the best quoting and contracting solutions and services the industry has to offer in New Zealand,” commented Bill Irwin, founder of Nimbus Software. “This represents a great opportunity for Nimbus to reach a wider market and to benefit from the synergies of belonging to an international group.
