Staff
Meet our team of experts! Our staff proudly represents Explorer software and have worked hard to incorporate their experience in the construction industry and knowledge of Eclipse into their amazing sessions.
Mark graduated from Adams State College in Colorado with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Shortly thereafter Mark earned his Certified Public Accounting (CPA) designation while working for the public accounting firm Touche Ross. Upon leaving public accounting, Mark worked as the controller for a two different construction companies – first in Colorado and then in Arizona. He was also part owner of a construction company for several years.
Mark joined Explorer Software in November 2009 as the Director of Construction Solutions. He immediately became involved in the direction of the software and has worked hard to ensure the needs of our contractors are being met. Mark has spent much of his time on the road visiting with customers, keeping the lines of communication open and assisting in product demonstrations. Active involvement in various professional construction organizations has helped him stay on top of the changing environment.
In June 2014, Mark was appointed President of the Explorer Software Group. In September 2019, Mark was appointed Chief Commercial Officer. Today, Mark oversees the commercial success of JDM’s companies globally.
Carmen holds a Canadian CPA, CGA designation; an Applied BBA in Accounting & IT from SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology) and a Management Certificate in Professional Accounting, with Honours, from BCIT (BC Institute of Technology).
As VP, Finance & Administration, she was responsible for the Explorer Finance and HR teams as well as working with the Executive team to improve operational efficiencies, performance and reporting. She was also a key member of the team implementing several North America acquisitions since 2017.
Carmen was appointed President of Explorer Software in August, 2019, where she will continue to focus on the ongoing success of Explorer Software.
With over 30 years of experience in leadership and technology, Steve has brought a level of technological expertise that has helped keep Explorer at the forefront of IT best practices. Today, Steve serves as the VP of Operations and the Director of IT for Explorer. He is responsible for North American and South American Support and IT Operations. Steve holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Technical Management.
Sam has over twenty five years of service in all facets of Construction Software and Technology. He joined Explorer Software in 2007, when Explorer acquired TSC Solutions. Sam has extensive leadership and field level experience. He has been involved in large scale software implementations, and various software development initiatives. Today, he is responsible for customer support at Explorer Software. He is diligent and passionate about our products and our customers.
Sally achieved her CGA (Certified General Accountant) designation in 1987. Early work experience included positions from Project Accountant to Controller for 7-Eleven (Corporate, Canada), First City Developments and Cross Developments. She joined The Conac Group in 1997, where she gained extensive experience in product development, systems design, testing, implementation, training and documentation. In 2003, Sally joined a local distributor of Timberline software, where she was involved in client consultation, implementation and custom report writing.
Today, Sally is the Director of Professional Services, providing direction and support to Explorer’s training and implementation teams. Sally is an important member of the Explorer management team.
Rosie graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and Fine Arts. With over thirty years in the construction industry in various roles from project management to accounting she has been able to provide insight and guidance for the design and development of Eclipse and other software. Before joining Explorer, she worked in support, implementation, and was a Business Analyst for our sister company, Computer Guidance. Rosie is the Manager of Construction Solutions and her 19 years in ERP construction specific software have been invaluable to the Explorer Software team since 2010.
Paul is a Senior Implementation Specialist and joined Explorer Software in December 2005. He graduated from Lakeland College in Wisconsin with a BA in Accounting with minors in Business Administration and Economics. He began his career in the construction industry in 1991 working as a Controller for a specialty contractor in Wisconsin. During his time there, he was the primary resource for implementing TCMS software for the company.
In 1999, he started working for Ferrell Companies, the developer of TCMS, in Software Support and Training/Implementation areas. He managed the support department for 2 years for Ferrell Companies.
In 2005, Ferrell Companies was sold to Explorer and Paul began his current career with Explorer Software. Since March of 2006, he has been a key member of the Implementation Services team, assisting in successful implementations of Eclipse for customers across the US. Paul is based near Des Moines, Iowa, USA.
Mark joined Explorer Software in February 2010, working as a Senior Implementation Specialist. Before joining the Explorer Team, he spent over twenty years in the Homebuilding industry, working for various regional homebuilders as Purchasing Manager, Systems Analyst and IT Director. He has extensive experience in construction software implementations, working for both homebuilding and software development companies.
Mark holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio and a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Notre Dame. Mark is based near Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.

Fawn graduated from Kaplan University, a subsidiary of University of Alabama, with a BA in Accounting, then worked at Brown & Root (what became KBR) for over 16 years. While at KBR she led multiple ERP implementation specializing in Payroll, General Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Project Accounting, with experience in SOx, IFRS, consolidations, and multi-currency companies. Fawn implemented ERPs such SAP, Oracle (EBS), JD Edwards, Peoplesoft, Hyperion Suites, Salesforce, OBIEE, along with many others.
When Fawn left KBR she went to CCS (Canadian Crude Separators – a Canadian fracking company) where she was the US Implementation Lead, successfully implemented Oracle – Peoplesoft. Subsequently as an independent consultant Fawn implemented ERP systems within the oil and gas industry as well as the energy sector.
Most recently she provided implementation consulting services through CFO Suite, successfully implemented Explorer Eclipse at a large electrical infrastructure construction company.
In November 2019 Fawn joined the Explorer Implementation Services Team where her extensive consulting background will provide analysis and recommendations best suited to the client’s unique needs. Fawn is based near Houston, Texas, USA.

Megan joined Explorer in May 2017 as a System Support Specialist and has honed her Eclipse knowledge providing invaluable customer assistance and building strong relationships with the Eclipse user base. She moved to the Eclipse Implementation Services team in March 2020, bringing her extensive support skills to assist clients implementing Eclipse.
Her strong background in accounting with obtaining her Certified Payroll Manager designation in 2005, brings a depth of knowledge to the Implementation team, especially in the area of Canadian Payroll and Human Resource. Megan has 25 years of experience as both a senior level HR/Payroll Administrator and Staff Accountant for various companies in the Financial Management, Education sector and Civil Construction sector. Megan is based near Vancouver, BC, Canada
