Supporting our Community | Charity

As part of our commitment to our values of integrity and charity, Explorer Software provides contributions to our community, with a focus on providing help for young people. Through our scholarship program in memory of Shelley Hoffman, we provide educational support for at-risk students. Our contribution to the North Fraser Therapeutic Riding Association helps children with physical, emotional or cognitive challenges.

The Shelley Hoffman Scholarship Fund

Shelley Hoffman has made a tremendous contribution to Explorer Software and has been instrumental in our growth and success. To honor Shelley, we have created the Shelley Hoffman Scholarship Fund.

The Fund will provide ten scholarships annually to further the post-secondary education of at-risk students graduating from high school.  Each student will be selected by the Cinderella Project, a nationally registered charity dedicated to helping students who have experienced neglect, abuse, poverty and marginalization. Jim and Judy McFarlane will match all contributions made to Shelley’s Scholarship Fund.

Honour House Society

Honour House is a refuge, a “home away from home,” for members of the Canadian Armed Forces, Veterans, Emergency Services Personnel, and their families to stay, completely free of charge, while they are receiving medical care and treatment in the Metro Vancouver area. These brave individuals, along with their families, sacrifice so much on a daily basis to protect our freedom and our everyday way of life. Honour House allows us the opportunity to show them that we care and how much we appreciate all that they do for us.

Visit https://www.honourhouse.ca/ for more information on how you can donate to Honour House Society.

Recently Honour House has launched Honour Ranch. This 120-acre property in Ashcroft provides members of the Canadian Armed Forces, Veterans, Emergency Services Personnel, and their families a place to heal and recover. There are currently 10 cabins on the site with plans to continue expanding. Visit here to find out more about the Honour Ranch project.
